Alone, no. But Mamdani's wishlist of retarded policies absolutely will throw fuel on the fire. NYC is in for some pain the next few years.

Tell us what you will do about it and more importantly, tell us how you will get your plan through Congress when we have an electorate that votes for free bus rides and government stores every chance they get.
Bush, Obama, Biden, and Trump have done more harm to America than Mandhami could ever dream of.

You don’t even have a political ideology. “Look how bad our current state is. Nothing will make it worse.”

He’s a loser at his core. When you realize his politics are out of jealousy and anger, it all makes sense.

If they had the guts to balance the budget, it would be the end of their political careers.
If the raised taxes equitaby across the income spectrum to balance the budget, taxpayers would actually take a hard look at where their tax money is going.

Yeah. There’s no ideology behind it. It’s just message board trolling as a political ethos.

Then why are you doing a victory lap over it?

the cost of living is skyrocketing
That's about 1% less than the average inflation rate of 3.8% in the U.S. over the last 50 years.
Meanwhile, programs like SNAP exploded 25%, 30%, or more under the last four years of Democrat budgets. The NYC BS is more of the same. Cost of carry on that debt is crushing!

You have doubts that the MTA can be free? Look at this genius.

I like the grocery prices will drop part.
Posted on 11/5/25 at 8:07 am to BuckI
Free buses would increase the cost of living through taxes.
And with the government owned grocery stores you will have to go to the non government stores to purchase items the government is out of. So congrats you paid twice.

Yeah. You’re just highlighting my point.

Cost of living is skyrocketing? CPI is 3% down from over 9% just a few years ago. Gas is down, rent/mortgage rates are starting to come down. Blue collar wages are rising 5-6%. Maybe people should quit living above their means, abusing credit cards, taking stupid student loans for worthless degrees etc.

Imagine being this stupid: complaining about the cost of living and debt on one hand then complaining that expanding more spending and debt isn’t a big deal on the other hand. The Left is mentally retarded lol

$ 37 trillion debt along with trillions more in "unfunded liabilities". IMO we've passed the point of no return - this train is going off the cliff. The democrats (and their RINO pals) have spent us into insolvency.
Now the insane obsession with voting for the fraud who promises a solution to the unsolvable.
I urge you MAGA's living in the suburbs in counties and cities led by democrats, get out and get out now.
This will NOT end well.

The overarching theme is there is no,such thing as a free lunch, That’s how we got 37 trillion in the hole
No, the reason we're $37 trillion in the hole is because of the war on terror, increased costs to take care of old people that have already fricked over younger generations multiple times, tax cuts, and the ballooning interest on debt that already exists.
You wanna fix debt? Stop cutting taxes, cut the defense budget by 75 percent, and suspend social security for all but those who would go below the poverty line without it.

Same principle here.
Free bus rides won’t kill New York. The mentality that bus rides should be free will.
Good answer. Most people have no idea how far along we are in the process of destroying the US economy. Govt debt is an abstraction to them, something with no real world consequences, so govt spending is a free lunch. Even a majority of our politicians have zero understanding. We should be reversing course, making govt smaller posthaste, but these fools are doubling down.
