Will Trump defect if he doesn’t get the Nom?

I think we all know that if Trump went rogue, democrats wins.
I hear some word that Trump is threatening to take his ball and walk if he doesn’t get the Republican nomination . Mostly word of mouth stuff from acquaintances who say they know people .. whatever
But it got me thinking that Trump could really throw a stink bomb on this whole deal if he wanted. Just look at the posters here and you can assume millions more like them across the country would do nothing BUT follow Trump off a cliff. Trump could ask them to walk in front of a train and they’d do it.
Would you vote Trump if he defected from the Republicans and went rogue?

The only way he's not getting then nom is if the Democrats throw him in prison. And I say that as someone who likes DeSantis a lot.

Trump has never supported anyone but himself, so I doubt that would ever change.

How could this country get any stinkier?

He'll run as an independent if he's not nominated, siphoning off about 1/3 of the votes from the nominee. This will certainly re-elect Biden as president, this time in landslide fashion.

For some reason, I hear this whiny little voice like nanny Fran.

Remember what the dems did to Bernie?

If not that, no doubt another type of fit will be pitched.

He will form a colony in Russia and all of the cult members will follow. JjGoebbels will lead the way. It will be called TrumpTown.

They will win anyway.

I thknk he would and should. You have to stand up for what you believe and show it with actions not just words. I think America would welcome a third party candidacy by him and he should do it.

In that scenario isn't this where all the tards say," bUt yOu mUsT vOte tHe LesSer of tWo eVils, yOu aRe tHrowing aWAy yoUr vOte"
Hell maybe this would finally blow up the two party system, but I doubt it.

Why is it always “Trump will run as an independent” and never, “the gop(e) isn’t listening to its base and never support trump?” Polling data shows trump with a commanding lead.
And do not give me the bullshite of trump not being conservative. The gop hasn’t been conservative since the early 90’s.

A three party system would spell doom for conservatives. We don't have a coalition government.

$32 trillion in debt. The debt service on that alone will soon be more than we spend on the military. Being fiscally conservative is a winning issue now IMO.

You mean republicans, which needs to happen because that party hasn't been conservative in decades.
The two party system needs to die and if this is what it takes then I support it. However, at this point that is a fantasy and we will just keep spinning our death spiral as a country.

I think America would welcome a third party candidacy by him and he should do it.
All it would do is split the vote that would have gone to the Republican (which would almost certainly be Desantis if Trump wasn’t the nominee).
The votes that Trump gets as a 3rd party candidate is going to come overwhelmingly at the expense of the GOP candidate, all but guaranteeing a landslide Dem win unless there’s a major viable left leaning candidate who runs independent/3rd party as well and takes a significant chunk of Dem votes
I agree a 3rd party is way overdue. But it has to be a candidate that would be able to peel away a similar number of votes from both the Dems and GOP….otherwise 3rd party candidates just make the race uncompetitive if their support is coming all from one side of the left-right political spectrum
