Will President Trump double down and resist the temptation to cut a deal with Iran?

Why should he cut a deal? The oil is flowing and the infrastructure development that provides the product without the need for using the Strait for such provision is rapidly moving forward.
The Iranian ruling clerics have clearly lost their leverage. This oil route changes everything, forever.
America and the world wins big with oil prices eventually falling dramatically due to the lack of a terror element. Can you even imagine oil and natural gas flowing freely for the first time in your life due to the neutered Iranian clerics and its IRGC?
Of course, the big loser is CHINA!!
Once the strategic chokepoint at Hormuz is nullified, by diversion to other means and route of transport by oil pipelines overland to ports on the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea, even to the Mediterranean, Iran shall be reduced to zero effect on the movement of oil in world commerce. And they still may not be able to load out their own oil from Kharg Island.
How badly does the IRGC have to be bleeding resources until they see the futility of their “brave” resistance to what they consider to be the oppression of the US and Israel?
Trump was brilliant with this.

The only deal that has any merit is total regime change. Anything else will be a lie.

I think the pattern goes:
Resounding Victory obtained
Potential deal soon
No deal
Complete destruction threat
Drop some bombs
I'm not sure where we are at right now.

Looking more into the situation I see a curveball has been thrown. Claim the Straight is indeed under our control (victory) and threaten economic sanctions "the world has never seen the likes of" (total desteuction) albeit economic, at the same time. With a rebrand (straight of America).
I applaud the thinking outside the box.

Waking up one day and realizing that all you have to do to hold the global economy hostage is put some mines in the Strait of Hormuz and set up some $20,000 drones along the coastline is definitely losing your leverage.

The IRGC has no reason at all to actually cut a deal with Trump and I don't think they will.
They will PRETEND to want a deal but they don't want a deal because they think Trump is at his weakest point right now in this conflict.

Starving to death takes a lot longer to die than blowing yourself up. A lot of time to rethink your decisions. A lot more pain and uncomfortability, and starving yourself doesn't make the statement that blowing up a building does.
Slowly starving yourself without a say in the matter is vastly different than taking out yourself to kill many others in a globally newsworthy explosion.

Thank you for the context. It won't be long now. The timing is perfect. Makes me think POTUS Trump wrote a script while off for 4 years and now is simply directing from the screen play adaptation.
