Caught some of MSNBC a few minutes ago. That question was asked. The fact that the MSNBC host asked that dumb question, implies that MSNBC thinks that that Hollywood race baiter is an important pillar of the royal family.. whose presence would be missed.

I heard Gayle King and another Meg friend was hosting CBS's coverage of this today.

Even if she were beloved by the family right now, she’s been around for a few seconds compared to the husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who has been with them since the 1930s, and who is the focus of the event.

She’s a trash can of a human being and Harry royally fricked up choosing her and that path. Obviously the Royal Family isn’t perfect, but he chose incredibly poorly.

One of the commentators on Fox mentioned that in "typical Megan fashion" (his words) it had been released that she and Harry provided a wreath for the funeral and it specified the size, flower type, meaning of the flowers, and designer of the wreath, but not the message that was attached to the wreath.
