Oh come on. I’m not saying he shouldn’t have been fired. But he did what he thought was best for his men. That is NOT an embarrassment.

horseshite.

Okay Ill play, if he was truly concerned about his men being cared for he should....

A) make certain a email is leaked to the San Fran Chronicle

B) Notify a strike commander of one of the most powerful fleets in the navy, who is bunked next door, to help with the situation.

He was a chick shite who failed to follow the chain of command. Can't have a military without discipline. He is also a dumbazz. He said we are not at war. Really??? How about global terrorists and terrorist states.

Does he still have "a" job in the Navy or was he completely fired as in no longer with the Navy?

He defied the most important rule of order. Don't break the chain of command. And he was the commander. All military discipline breaks down and we turn into a crowd of self survivors and likely get everyone killed when we defy orders. He would have been facing a military court a few years back and would be dead by now in the Soviet Union or Chinese military. Believe me they are watching closely for this discipline breakdown.

He broadcast a potential weakness to threats unknown. He placed every Sailor and Marine serving on that ship at far greater risk in addition to 340 million Americans...

This cannot be reinforced enough. He callously and publicly divulged that his warship was at a disadvantage. He did so while inside the Pacific theater. And experiencing tensions with China, his action was an inexcusable breakdown of command.

From the American Thinker article....

quote:
"Crozier was an instant hero for taking a stand on behalf of his crew. Indeed the navy's initial response was to say Crozier would not be punished for being so candid About conditions aboard his ship.

However, 2 days after the Crozier story broke, the Navy removed him from his command."

Hmmm....

Just like a POS story turning lib would do...Why don't you post the rest of the article Sherlock? Is it because that half-hearted comment of 3 sentences gets the ball rolling in your direction. You people really are the scum of the earth.

Former Navy myself, Capt. Cozier....if this story is how it seems just like American Thinker said...deserves a lot more than what's been done so far. He should have a demotion and Dishonorable Discharge if this pans out, which like Gen. Milley said they are going through the investigation now. Any person of a lesser rank would be.

He was roundly cheered and supported as he left the ship.

Says volumes about his ability to command. Captains and XO's aren't supposed to be subjects of adulation by crew. They're supposed to be dispassionate and unperturbed by situations they find themselves in. They do not violate chains of command, and make rash decisions based on personal views. They certainly do not author emails/letters involving operational matters and then release them over unsecured lines of communication. The Captain did not consider that following investigation, there could be other ruined careers by his actions, not just his own.

FWIW- the Sec. of Navy and other top brass agreed with his concerns and decision to send the message up the COC, just not in the manner that he did, which likely led to the message winding up in the press.

he publicized his ships situation.

he could have stayed in chain of command.

he seems to have decided we are in peacetime rather than most vulnerable maybe ever.

i hope they dont bust him to lt cmdr but let him retire or do desk work until he can.

dumbassery for a ship captain to broadcast issues possible impact to warfighting.

Didn't go through proper chain-of-command. Hey, he knew the rules!

He shouldn't have allowed his crew to cheer him on for the cameras.

On departure, he should have reinforced the chain of command by telling them his relief was justified
