If the mayor's & governors choose to let their cities be destroyed by mobs so be it. Let them wallow in it.
It is not the President's responsibility to keep cities safe. That is on local politicians.

All of this is a coordinated effort to draw the President into an situation that he can not come out looking good on.
People like you berate him for "Not doing enough" when in fact the local leadership is doing nothing and even fanning the flames in some cases and you ignore them. They get a pass.
If the President send military troops into a state to restore order he will be painted as a dictator and using the US military to kill innocent civilians. Doesn't matter that they are calling him all kinds of things already. CNN, MSNBC and all the other liberal propaganda machines will run video footage of US military troops marching on city streets (and hoping violence erupts so they can get footage of the military killing civilians) to run nonstop till NOV.
The citizens of these cities have it in their power to replace the local leadership and demand the current leadership protect them. and that's what they should do.

Elections have consequences. Vote for a governor with a pair and let them activate the national guard and other assets like they are suppose to. No president should be enacting boots on the ground across this country if the governors refuse to use the assets that possess.
