Because cultural marxism has been winning the cultural war, and normal people are too busy with their own individual issues to worry about societal issues, we have become atomized and easy to push around.

Homosexuality is an abhorrent behavior that needs to be deemphasized and not promoted.

The way it started out, LGBTs didn’t want to be discriminated against. Ok, fine...that’s fair. What happens in your bedroom, so long as it’s not illegal, has no bearing on other aspects of you life.
Then they demanded tolerance. Ok, also fair.
Then they demanded acceptance. A little tougher nut to crack, but ok. We’ll manage to adjust.
NOW...they demand celebration of their lifestyle. BY EVERYONE. And if you don’t comply, you’re an evil bigot who must be punished.
It’s the way of all slippery slopes.
