My comment was a reference to a friend and his partner who were recently harassed (for being gay) walking down the street in a mid-size Texas town.
If they were being harassed, then they need to take it up with the law...provided there was illegal activity involved.
If it was just a couple of dumb rednecks making rude remarks, then it’s not right, but there’s no constitutional right to not have your feelings hurt.

So in your opinion there are some tiny small towns somewhere in America where gays have full equal rights but sometimes get weird looks when showing public displays of affection and so we must by necessity have a national month long bizarre ritualistic festival celebrating homosexuality?
That makes sense to you?
I SAID that anyone who wants to celebrate something can do so. You are free to join the celebration ... or not.
And most gays and lesbians with whom I am acquainted simply do not give a flip whether you celebrate or not. But they WOULD prefer not to be subjected to verbal assault just for walking down the street together.
Crazy, right?

The solid majority of them agree with me and are actually embarrassed by the gays and lesbians who ARE militant about their sexuality.
And they care not one iota whether YOU “celebrate” their sexual orientation. I suspect that your friends feel the same way. You should ask them about your belief that they “demand” for you to do so.

You DO have a reading comprehension problem, don’t you?
Not surprising. It just lends credence to my theory that you’re a shitty attorney IRL.

ama queen stuff That couldn't be more disingenuous. It wasn't six years ago that it wasn't even legal for them to marry their partners in several states. The real drama here is their opposition.
Gays/lesbians could have had legislation providing legal protection decades ago, affording all the rights of a married HETEROSEXUAL couple but they wanted the word MARRIAGE to normalize their abnormal relationship. They’re not fooling any sane person with their agenda, I can link you YouTube vids of Gays/Lesbians explaining their tactics going back 30-40 years to push the normalization of homosexuality. The LGBT folks started with the young skulls full of mush to begin the indoctrination to accept their lifestyle.

In your opinion, 100% of transgenders oppose sexual reassignment surgery?

Literally what you wrote:
quote:
Legal rights are finally catching up, but that is only a subset of being “treated like anyone else.”
As a small example, you can walk down the street holding hands with your partner in any small town in this country (assuming any woman will have you ... a questionable assumption). A gay or lesbian couple cannot say the same.
What I wrote :

Explain to me how what I wrote misrepresented what you wrote. You literally wrote that although they have equal legal rights, they are not accepted and treated like everyone else. And therefore, pride month is a good thing. Because although they are legally equal, there is still some stigma. That is what you wrote. That is what I said you wrote. Where is your disconnect?

If they are really proud they should march in Iraq, Indonesia, Afganistan, or Saudi Arabia.

Now they want your children

Explain to me how it's possible to have gender reassignment surgery without mutilating your genitals. I'll wait.

You really are pathetic. At least make some small attempt to justify our back up the nonsense you spew.
