Why? To subsidize Amazon's shipping costs

This is difficult to read the people backing a 2 plus billion dollar loss which continues to grow year by year.
It's unreal how you leftist think
You have major mental problems.

Ah, so you agree public services should be privatized. Thanks for proving my point.
BamAtl has no concept of your sig quote.
The government is god, daddy and uncle to her and other leftists, with a living breathing, malleable Constitution.

Got downvoted 7 times for asking why the USPS can go broke each year. I guess those 7 votes go democratic this year

Where is your logic? A service is only to lose money?
We are to set a service in place to lose money?
Get out of here with that BS you're trying to sell.

public services generally do.
I dont judge my fire department on how much money it “loses”
or how many tax dollars go to the armed services?

It’s a service, no shite it costs money. No one says “the military operates at a $900 billion dollar loss every year”

at a minimum they break even
someone always pays the cost, without fail

Also, those two, along with Amazon are the USPS' largest customers.
You've got it backwards

They way they're running and ruining it this year, it may be because they have to pay storage fees for all the first class mail that takes three weeks to go a hundred miles (unless they return it to sender as undeliverable, when it was deliverable.)

Because UPS and FedEx will not deliver to backwater Arkansas or Alaska. The whole country including non profitable places have to be serviced. How many small towns have a UPS or FedEx store?

I'm sorry, but I'm a 1L at LSU Law and am currently taking Constitutional Law, and I can't let this slide. It's Article 1 Section 8 Clause 7. Sorry I know that's pretty smart arse of me, but I've spent the last 4 months studying the powers granted to Congress by this section and how they've developed over the years. And before anyone asks why congress has been allowed to go so far past their enumerated powers, 5 words: Commerce Clause and Spending Clause

We need plausible excuses for why the mail in ballots are late and come in huge stacks.

How can the federal government operate if they can’t keep asking for more money?

That’s bullshite.
I work for an environmental compliance firm and we use fedex ground, uline, etc to ship things to some of the most remote areas of Arizona, NM, etc you can imagine
Just today I ordered a 55 gallon hazardous waste drum to be delivered to a site in Kayenta, AZ.

The usps is not at all akin to the military and the fire dept
The usps was designed to be self sufficient and make its money via sales revenue
