David Frum
Imagine being such a bootlicking simp journalist that you would outright proclaim that these corrupt jackals deserve more pay, as if they haven't raided our bank accounts enough to enrich themselves. Clownworld.

Members of Congress have not had a pay raise since 2009. Long overdue.

Activists run media, DNC runs most activist cells.

Imagine pushing for a group that would destroy what you have without hesitation.

The Dems want a raise… they go to media.. media posts it.
The media takes what the Dems give them and prints without question. Remember the White House just being caught sending letters to the media to ramp up scrutiny on impeachment which then started hitting the airwaves just a day later? Just like the Dems wanted?
They want the media to get in their corner and advocate for it so they get less scrutiny when they try to ram it in the next spending bill.

I don't like how they can help themselves to a pay raise, but sub-$200k for what they do is a bit crazy. It encourages them to make money elsewhere. That under-table money comes with strings attached, and usually costs the constituency far more than the elected official.

You could pay them 750k a year and that wouldn’t change one iota. Not one smidgen.
If that soooo pitiful pay was such a deterrent…… why do they spend millions to get it? Things that make you say hmmmmm. Would you pay 500k for a college degree to make 60k a year? That’s an example of what they do.

My profession (healthcare) has seen a ~7% payCUT in the last 15 years. We can't strike or vote ourselves a pay raise.

Not surprising look at his tweet history. He should have stayed in Canada.

Because the media reports what the State tells them to report.
Nothing more, Nothing less.
Nothing more, Nothing less.

This is a prime example of the huge disconnect between the "elites" and the people whose existence matters.
If all the David Frums' of the world were Thanos'ed out of existence, the world would turn smoother....if half the plumbers in the world went away, we'd be in a world of hit.

Guess what....this government wasn't designed to be a fulltime, lifelong job.
We should lower the pay to $75k, an office and apartment per diem and annual audits of their tax returns.

I’d be ok with a raise to their salary under the following conditions:
1) no balanced federal budget? No pay.
2) Any and all special interest/lobbyist money they receive counts against their salary. In other words: if they make $50k from a special interest group, their taxpayer funded salary is reduced by $50k.

The media does what their globalist overlords tell them to do and the globalists are pleased with our Congress and other corrupt politicians.
