I took this post to mean that the people in Minnesota are the ones living in an echo chamber
and
the "Trumps racist views" part was saying that the USA is largely in agreement with his "racist" views but that meaning like calling oneself deplorable... you know us deplorables... you know embracing the label to turn it around.
