But thanks taking the time to type all that and embarrass yourself

I wondered, but typing out a few bs sentences on an anonymous message board does not and will not ever embarrass me.

believe it or not, when people in La get to vote on corporations not paying their taxes, the companies usually lose. Rispone is so far up lane grigsbys grifting a-hole all you can see are soles of his shoes, and right there across the bottom they say “LABI”. That’s why you have a Dem Gov. it’s the closest thing to liberal that La is

Catholic vs Protestant divide(Edit maybe better put as a North LA vs South LA divide). Both sides throw their weight behind conservative candidates in the jungle primary and then get so pissed at the opposing candidate after the mud slinging is over that they won't vote when it matters, and voila you get JBE.

See Eddie Rispone vs Ralph Abraham

Either one of those candidates would have been better than JBE, but people can't get over themselves.

Absolutely

But without doing any real research, Louisiana SHOULD have enough right of center voters to carry any gubernatorial election for someone other than a terd like JBE. As always, I could be wrong. As evidenced by the terd in the Governor’s Mansion.

Catholics have traditionally backed the Democratic Party.

What are you basing this statement on?

The 2020 election

LA: 58.5% Trump
MS: 57.6% Trump

By this metric, LA is more conservative than MS

Truth, yet many will deny it.

With the last local elections in MS. Every coastal town elected Republican Mayors and councilman. There were very few liberals even on the ballot.

For generations, Louisiana was the cradle of social welfare programs because the state was flush with cash. Never-ending cash that everyone thought would never go away. Politicians used this wealth to make the populace reliant on social welfare programs. It got so bad that Edwin Edwards wanted to pay kids cash for good grades.

The state became the parent. Just look at our flag for F’s sake.

Alabama and Louisiana are basically tied. Arkansas is not even close to Louisiana. And Texas is much more purple than Louisiana. Beto almost won

The three larger cities are totally controlled by Democrats.

Louisiana is not what I'd call conservative Its always been a populist state straddling the line.

There’s a single reason why Mississippi is more conservative: to make sure Louisiana doesn’t somehow sneak the transfer of ownership of Bogalusa to them.

Well, pretty sure the Baptist don't want you to buy beer on Sunday or drink it any other time, so in that respect the catliks are more liberal.

You think Catholics are more conservative than Southern Baptist? You’ve obviously not spent much time in Mississippi outside of the Gulf Coast. Some of you people need to get out more
