Id be willing to bet Alario is doing that in exchange for a favor.
He's not even doing it for a favor. He's doing to protect JBE from having to veto the bill no questions asked.
There is nobody I despise in the statehouse more than John Alario.

He couldn't give a shite about the SJWs and their crusade to bring the monuments down.
All Alario cares about is keeping the Governor happy no matter what political party he's from. Alario was a sycophant for Bobby Jindal and now he's a sycophant for JBE. He's a sycophant for the Governor no matter who it is because he gets to wet his beak at the legislative trough and get more pork and plush benefits. Running the statehouse is a lifestyle to him and the only way he's coming out of it is in a pine box.
Alario killed the bill to protect JBE from having to make a tough veto and choosing between the republicans who elected him and the far left fringe of the state of Louisiana.
He shouldn't even be called RINO as that's an insult to them, he's a thug piece of shite that is everything that's wrong with Louisiana politics.

Yeah, but it's not like there's not something in it for him. There's ALWAYS something in it for him.

Is Alario responsible for the expressway not connecting to the Huey?

do, however, have a problem with violent extremists being allowed to run rampant while an incompetent failure of a mayor rams through his agenda
You think that Mayor who put those garbage statues up didn't have an agenda (Lost Cause)?
Do you think the public voted to put those monuments up?

Alario is a corrupt career politician. People like him are the problem, regardless of party.

Had a good laugh at him several yrs ago when he tried to bully his way past a security guard at the Old Box, trying to get into a paid parking only area. Stopped to watch as he got madder & madder, till he finally got out of his car & got nose to nose with the rent-a-cop. She flat out refused to raise the gate & got right back in his face, which was blood red by then. We all pointed at him while laughing as he backed out, which made him even madder. An EWE POS.

let me guess, it was a regional or super regional and that was his first game of the season...

and republicans took him in with open arms and then Bobby Jindal gave him the power back in his second term...more republican winning in this state.
Yea, that was disgusting. That sleazebag isn't fit for office.

Save Our Circle on Facebook has been leading this great effort.
I have sent emails to the Baton Rouge delegation supporting these bills.
Considering what they're up against, they've done an amazing job.

What happened a century ago is irrelevant. What's happening now matters. I've never heard of a drunken "oppression studies" major throwing a beer bottle 100 years into the future. I did, however, see several of them throw beer bottles from the sidewalk adjoining that bar on Jeff Davis.

Probably a big brown paper bag full of $20 dollar bills.

Personally I am glad that they moved them. That was an insult to General Lee, Jefferson Davis and PGT Beauregard by allowing them to stay in that shithole of a town.

So why did Alario send it to a committee headed by left-wing democrats who were guaranteed to kill it?
Because Alario is a democrat no matter what he claims to be today. He is trying to protect the sitting governor from having to either take an unpopular Veto or sign a bill into law that could alienate his base.

Weak for a first time troll, post less please.
It's not a troll, its a simple question.
Why should the City of New Orleans subsidized white supremacist propaganda? Why should a local city not be allowed to cease subsidizing white supremacist propaganda without approval from the state voters?

Moving statues to different locations is not "killing history".
Dumbass, if you'd even bother to follow what's been going on, Landrieu had them brought to a police car junkyard.
That's killing history.
