He was talking about all the abuses the CJS has committed to the rule of law in an attempt to get Trump.

He believes in the rule of law, above all else. He hates Trump's politics, but knows the entire special counsel is nothing but BS, plus he despises how the intelligence agencies ignored the law in how they have dealt with Trump.
He has a history of taking these positions.
He despised Klaus Von Bulow. Yet, he thought the way his first trial was handled was a legal travesty, and it was. He ended getting the verdict being overturned. He never said Von Bulow was innocent, but just that his first trial was ridiculous in how it violated the rule of law.
It's really hard not to admire a guy like him, regardless of how you feel about his political beliefs. We'd be a hell of a lot better off if the left was made up of guys like him.
