Why I can’t vote Democrat

In no particular order, but any one of these by itself is sufficient to disqualify the Democrats for me

1. Abortion. I’m pro-life. In recognition of the fact that we live in a pluralistic society, I could live with the compromise America reached with the legally flawed Roe v Wade. But the modern Dem position of abortion for any reason up to the moment of birth (and after; I’m looking at you, Gov. Northam) means I cannot vote for them

2. Border security. I’ve heard a few Dems try to claim that they’re not for open borders, but it’s a smoke screen. They do want open borders, and that will ruin our country IMO.

3. Medicare for all. Nice idea in theory, but someone has to pay for it. And of course that “someone” is the already overburdened American taxpayer.

4. Free college for the children of illegals. I know this is mostly a California thing for now, but it’s a terrible idea, which of course means that other Dem states will try it too.

5. Law and order. We’ve crossed the Rubicon on this issue. Not only are the Dems soft on crime; they’re now actually encouraging violent crime in the cities of America

6. The 2nd Amendment. Dems clearly want to disarm law abiding citizens, while demonstrating zero interest in gun violence in urban centers. 2020 has given us a glimpse of the future in America, and I do not want to face that future unarmed.

7. Racial division. The Dems thrive on it. They need it to survive. Without racism and sexism and xenophobia and all the rest, the Dems have no message. You know as well as I do that if someone had the power to snap their fingers and make racism disappear from the face of the earth, the Dems would decline. They want racial hatred to exist. They need racial hatred to exist.

So it’s MAGA 2020, baby, and it’s not even close.
