At a minimum they should be trying to get airtime on traditional news outlets and give the opposing view rather than allowing the Gaslight Media to spew their anti Trump BS with impunity. If the traditional news outlets are not going to allow the opposing view then go on podcasts, streaming news services, hold rallies supporting Trump and the others who are being persecuted by a two tier justice system. Currently there are several hundred political prisoners from the Faux J6 Insurrection still behind bars. It's time for conservative leadership to step forward and rally the support Trump and the hundreds of other Americans who are under attack by a weaponized legal system and corrupt federal government.

Why though? What specifically does that accomplish?

It sounds like you just want people to say things that make you feel good.

Because when you treat the members of a co-equal branch of government as if they are "the help" at your closely-held family business, you have no right to expect them to come running to your aid when you step on your own dick.

I think it fair to assume that there is a certain amount of Schadenfreude in top GOP circles at the moment.

What exactly do you expect republicans in DC to do?

Politicians protect their political future. Tying yourself to Trump in any way can damage your political future. I don't like it but it is what it is.

Let’s just say that every elected Republican official in the United States delivered fire-breathing speeches condemning the charges against Trump.

What would that accomplish? Why do people want them to do that? What are specific goals of doing so?

The State is putting their boot on Trump’s neck to discourage people from speaking out.

Don’t be surprised when people aren’t speaking out.

Republican in DC are the Washington generals to the dems Harlem globetrotters. They aren’t supposed to win. Just keep it within 40 points or so.

True.

We should be discussing republican actions to defend Trump from false prosecutorial malfeasance.

Words mean nothing.
Actions speak volumes.

Silence shows acquiescence.

What can the federal GOP do at this exact moment in time to alter the powers of the special counsel?

At what point could the federal GOP ever do anything about a state prosecutor in Georgia? Georgia has laws addressing prosecutorial misconduct already.

Because they want him gone also, I will never vote again if Trump loses goes to jail and GOP does nothing. Dems deserves to win, I'll wait for a new party to form.

Except for a few of the grifters that just play for attention I think most Republicans want Trump gone. They don’t like his unpredictable image breaking antics and they think the hardcore cult-45 followers are scum.
They also realize that all the evidence we are about to hear 24/7 reflects pretty poorly on the party.

Would not pass the Senate or even get a Senate debate. So no, that cannot be done.

Because they might be even more excited about Trump's persecution than Democrats.

Yep.

Trump steered their voting base away from them towards MAGA, and exposed their complicity in the Establishment Uniparty agenda.

Nothing will make them happier than to raze him to the ground and guide the sheep back into the corral.
