Held up in the Senate apparently and hasn't made it to the floor.

I thought this was one thing the country could agree on.

You say that like it's something they consider.

I mean if you go by what this board (and many others think), this is NOT something that people could agree on.

It’s a 50-50 issue with high-paying lobbyists on both sides. Get used to the status quo.

So, the highest bidder gets their way and the losers are promised future concessions and legislation/EO later. Yep, Status Quo Washington is a shithole

Everyone would prefer one time.

Half the country prefers standard, half prefers daylight savings time.

This was never happening.

Well Congress screwed it up, we should make standard time permanent, not fake savings time.

I hope the bill dies.

You'd have 5 am sunrises in June and July.

With permanent savings time it would still be dark at 8 am in December. That's why they change the clocks.

Biggest problems right now are springing ahead too early, and not springing ahead on Saturday of a 3 day weekend (which would give everyone Sat-Sun-Mon to recover).

No, standard time all year. You ain't playing golf for 30 more minutes in the dead of winter (other than FL), so the rest of us have to be in the dark at 830 in the morning. It's dumb AF !

Because the dumbf@ck repukes moved it up 3 weeks earlier and 3 weeks later in their 'energy' bill in 2006. I loathe the communist democrats, but can't stand the repukes on this issue and it's their fault.

Nothing has changed, no surprise. Leadership is leading. The US has no leaders. At least none in Congress.

Lol. This has a much bigger impact on the northern states. Even with the current system you get the 5 AM light until 10 PM. Then conversly the 8:30 AM light and 5 PM dark. It fluctuates depending if you are on the east or west of a time zone.

Don’t we have a poster who lives in Alaska? Much worse there. In the northern parts they get the 24 hours of light and 24 hours of darkness.

80%+ Americans want SAVE America passes and they can't get that one over the line, either.

not fake savings time

Whatever system we use to determine time is all artificial, and therefore fake.

I'll serve up a proposal to set our clocks back seven hours beginning September 1st, so that all LSU football games-- whether they start at 11am, 2:30 pm or 6:30 pm -- are technically "night games."
