Still missing my point, which is about premise Vs person.
Maybe "principle" is a better word. You and others are complaining about people defending the person, but they are defending the principle. Focus your argument on the principle, not the person, because the person is irrelevant.

Alex Jones is a fool. The Sandy Hook thing was stupid (heartless) and wrong, but I agree that our media should be held to the same standards.

For a plaintiff to prevail, the law and the facts must align. They did not align for Sandman. They DID align for the Sandy Hook parents.
