I think you are 100% right and I had never heard of dispensationalism until you brought it up but that sounds like exactly what it is. Which is crazy for me because I’ve actually read the Bible and know that it’s bullshite since the New Testament supersedes the old, and that without the blood of Christ there is ZERO way for one to go to heaven regardless of if they are a Jew or not.

I never said we have to sever all ties to Israel. But we don’t need to put boots on the ground for them or send them aid for free. If they want to be Allies, allow us to put bases in their land to protect them, or Buy our weapons, not just take, then I’m all for it.

The secular state of Israel has become a golden calf that many Christian’s worship.

I couldn’t care less about some barren strip of land on the other side of the planet.

I believe they do purchase our weapons. I could be wrong.

And I’m not a proponent of boots on the ground either, less and except some scenario wherein the country’s on the verge of being toppled.

Because if we don't and Israel is losing a conflict to a lot of people with the destruction of Israel being their stated reason for existing Israel starts slinging nukes around the world's oil supply?

Without a strong partner like Israel in the ME, we have no base to keep a close eye on our enemies there.

This is a great question. As a 50+ white male I have never understood why the US is so damn concerned with them, Ukraine, or any other damn country! We’re being invaded from the south and not a damn thing is being done.
