It's called Black Lives Matter. The inference is that ALL black lives matter, but they obviously don't. The only black lives (or deaths, to be more accurate) that seem to matter are those that can exploited for political gain.
Sadly, there are untold numbers of black and white people who are willing to be used by an overtly Marxist organization.
How that group has achieved it's power is astounding. Makes Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition seem like Girl Scouts selling cookies by comparison.

When I've brought this up to Democrats they get very annoyed and peeved. The black people I've mentioned this to all give a similar response "that's our business, not yours".

Doesn't appear as if anyone cares. Certainly not the neighborhood, elected officials or community leaders - secular and non-secular.
Don't mean to be snippy but list a handful of reasons why anyone should care. I should care more about the sanctity of life than another? How about if they cared about the sanctity of life like most reasonable and responsible people.

I'm AA Libertarianish but it's my belief that prohibition is inherently evil. I'm concerned about it the same way I'm concerned about Juarez and Central America.

Pretty true. The difference is Republicans have been sidelined by the voters in these cities for decades. So it's kinda hard to care about something when you can't change it.
The winds are changing though, and I see black on black crime becoming more and more of an albatross around Dem's necks.

I don't "blame" them nor do I care if they care.
This is not true. The people who care have been doing things to combat it for years. There are many programs and organizations that are doing a lot of great things in black communities. However, there are a lot of thugs that don't give a damn.
Why do you think "black people" think and feel the same?

I'm sure some do, but prominent black leaders sure as shite don't. They would rather focus on the statistical anomaly of police shooting unarmed black men instead of the much more rampant and problematic black on black crime rate or any other problems within the black community.

Well if I had to guess, I would say at least part of the concern is the absolute histrionics surrounding the relatively rare occurrence of a white police officer killing a black man.
Republicans see that, and mistakenly think that they must also give a damn about all the black on black killings, which dwarf police killings, and all the murdered black babies, which pretty much dwarf every other cause of death, probably combined.

So you think the only way to change something is to be voted into an office? Do Reps just sit by and watch from the outside and say "We can do better"or is it possible to do some work in the community without a title?

This is simple not true.
I said that there are MANY programs and organizations in black communities dealing with black on black crimes every day. However but not surprisingly you chose to ignore it. The people you think are black leaders don't speak for all black people.
