over half of gen z generation is of age - sounds like you don't know much about genz or millenials
I said a lot aren’t of age. How was I wrong? And guess what? The ones that are don’t look much different than young millennials.

All anecdotal slop
I even said in my post that I wasn’t disagreeing with your “statistics “ which you didn’t bother to share, but that I was simply stating my own observations.
Now show me the non-anecdotal slop showing that the industry is dying.

Why do old people go to the default argument of $6 coffee when talking about affordability
I think the argument is "you complain about being poor while engaging in _____ wasteful behavior."
It's not necessarily the behavior, but complaining about being broke while not taking austerity measures.

Even if include vaping tobacco use is at historical lows in the US because younger generations don't do it

You say I know nothing, yet you obviously believe a 40 year old is a young millenial.
Try comparing 25-29 year olds with 30-35 year olds, and yeah, they look pretty damn similar.
I'm not even arguing the overall premise of this thread because I think younger folks regardless of generation spend on stupid shite. I'm just arguing with your premise that generations after gen x don't frequent craft breweries. You're right that gen x had a lot to do with craft breweries getting started, but that popularity grew after most of us started staying home to drink.

Why would I do the research to prove your claim?
I call bullshite and unless or until you provide substantiation, I think you just pulled that out of your arse.
You're younger, right? Why else would you think telling me to do your work for you was anything other than laughable?

Food not cooked at home accounts for a whole 3% more than it did in 1995

Specify where you suppose I am wrong.

Boomers inherited a financially solvent, white, conservative country and left it broke, brown, and gay.
How many Boomers took over college campuses to protest for Islam a couple years ago?
How many Boomers do you think participate in ANTIFA activities?
How many are running for office as Socialists?
What a clown you are.

That's the richest statement yet.
It's also what all of the young people supporting socialism today say.

Alcohol was a regular expense for a lot of boomers
lower cost of living, lower prices + less taxes on alcohol back in the day made it affordable back then.....and now the "boomers" have achieved wealth while the youngsters are battling being broke, lazy and worthless.

because if you get a 6 dollar coffee every morning before work X roughly 260 work days per year that 1560 + per year if your only drinking one per day.. I know people that are stopping twice sometime 3 times per day getting starbucks.. That shite adds up
Posted on 7/14/26 at 9:53 am to boogiewoogie1978
Young people have spending problems and Boomers have/had spending problems as well. Supposedly, 2/3 of Peak 65 Boomers don't have nearly enough saved for retirement. Americans have had spending problems for generations, tbh.

The $6 coffee everyday is the low hanging fruit on the Tree of Stupid where some of the post Boomers live.
To spend $6 on coffee everyday and complain about their personal finances is like chopping off one of your legs and complaining that walking is harder, because of Boomers……..
