Why did Democrats oppose tax reform?

Why don't they think the middle class deserves more of their own earnings? Why do they think more corporations giving bonuses to all of their employees are a good thing?

There is no doubt that the tax reform package is going to be a major boost to the economy or that doubling the standard deduction will really help the middle class. What's the problem here?

Because they know it will be a huge win for President Trump. Pretty sad actually that our leaders prefer to play politics at the cost of the public.

Both of these are correct.

We will have to see the actual effect of the new tax law. Then we will see whose predictions about the law come true.

which will be inside of a month when most people get to keep more money

Who will win out, the earners or the moochers + those who use them?

Lessening the amount the feds take from me. Reducing the corporate tax rate. In general, improving the standard of living in America.

Visit Washington DC sometime and you’ll understand why.

Fairfax County, Virginia is one of the wealthiest in the country and that’s not coming from the private sector. These elites want more government control for their own benefit.

Democrats don't think you deserve a tax break.

They hate that many Americans are getting bonuses in response to the tax reform.

This is, of course, the answer. But its way more fun to act like only one side does this amirite?

Yeah, like conservatives would have opposed an income tax cut or a corporate tax cut.

The unbelievable part is Obama actually proposing a tax cut.

The Democrats flat voted against the tax bill and tax cuts in general. Then they turn around a claim the tax cuts aren't enough for the middle class and is unfair for the upper class. If they weren't in favor of tax cuts to begin with, why are they bitching about "not enough"? Can't have it both ways.

Democrats oppose gargantuan defecits. So we go from a balanced budget the last 2 years of Clinton to an operating debt which has E-X-P-A-N-D-E-D to absolutely monstrous dimensions.

Like when they voted against the stimulus that was 1/3rd tax cuts?

Or said no to Obama's tax reform that would of lowered the corporate rate?

Off the heels of Boehner and company stating their strategy was to be the party of no?
