In this case, the "rule" would have allowed for debate and floor consideration of bills that would have limited district judges' ability to levy nationwide injunctions and would have mandated proof of citizenship to register to vote, respectively.

Nope. I’ve been having these arguments for 20 years. I’m telling you, the Dems have the exact same problem - they have to span half the political spectrum on many different issues; it creates strange bedfellows. As AOC said, “Manchin and I would not even be in the same party in most countries.”
