I'm not falling for anything. I phrased it that way to express skepticism.
Again, it's the non-denials by Leavitt and Hegseth. YOU don't seem to think killing survivors would be unlawful. Now you're suggesting that the manual could have been changed.
None of us has adequate information to KNOW what happened. Applying heuristics, my leaning is that the order WAS giving, but that those involved didn't think it illegal.
What's your current assessment? Didn't happen or did happen, but it's not illegal.

The manual that on page one says the DOD can revise its stance at any time?
So you are not going to believe this but they updated the manual! Here it is, updated July 2023

It is still there.

18.3.2.1 Clearly Illegal Orders to Commit Law of War Violations. The requirement to refuse to comply with orders to commit law of war violations applies to orders to perform conduct that is clearly illegal or orders that the subordinate knows, in fact, are illegal. For example, orders to fire upon the shipwrecked would be clearly illegal.
Trump really needs to get around to updating this.

He is also assuming the source less allegation is a fact.
Right now I know that the government has admitted to both strikes. I think we'll be seeing a bipartisan investigation to get a better understanding of the facts.

Did Obama commit felony murder when he droned US citizens? This should be good.
I only know of the one US citizen, the teenager, who Obama killed. Absolutely, felony murder.

And we are indirectly fighting the Chinese. Anyone who doesn't believe that China is involved with these failed narco-states to push this into our country is not paying attention or is rooting for the chinese.

Are you referring to Obama droning US citizens?

Still waiting on the statute. I asked for the law violated. You fail to provide one. And again….this is making the huge leap that the sourceless allegation is true. Yall don’t have a great track record with those. So before you start your victory lap…why don’t you try again to provide a law.

Wrong. It is page one of the manual. Follows the title page and the table of contents and definitions. Page one is precisely what I described.

Still not a law. Still assumes the sourceless allegations are true. Also assumes that it was shipwrecked. LOTS of assumptions. What’s y’all’s track record when believing sourceless allegations are true? When will you learn to stop being so gullible.
I’m willing to learn, though. The first step is to cite the actual law…not an example in a manual. Once we find the law we can evaluate the elements against the allegations. Then we need to substantiate the allegations.
How much you want to bet this all falls apart and in three weeks yall will be melting over something else?

Fentanyl has chemicals that come from China, processed in Mexico, imported by Americans.
I dont see what Venezuela has to do with it. If we want to go after the source, that aint it.

Any drug runner willing to get in a boat and run drugs now has to be insane.
How do they find these people?

How do they find these people?

I didn't see your edit. It would seem to me this could implicate the federal murder statute but I don't know how they'd handle a court martial should the facts call for it.

Better question is why are they so against Trump deporting criminals who broke our immigration laws and drove their costs up?

Its pretty easy. When there is no employment outside fishing, someone dangling real money will get a lot of risk takers.
