I’m just saying that there was a lot of bed wetting prior to the Russian invasion that they were doing to roll right through Ukraine and have their way with them. That clearly didn’t happen and it seems like a lot of “experts” were surprised by that.

This is true.

That being said, their “expertise” should be questioned for putting forth such stupidity.

Originally, I thought that Russia was bluffing. Why? Because they were always going to struggle, and that there wasn’t really a whole lot of upside.

Given what we know now (Biden privately rolling out the red carpet, no pun intended, for Ukraine’s entrance into NATO), this invasion was going to happen. All of that being said, I feel for the good people of Ukraine.

The Russians are clearly underperforming expectations on every aspect of this conflict.

This happened in WW2 as well, but they just had more bodies to expend than other countries did.

"They're winning". Exactly. If anyone knows anything about China, it's that its leaders have always looked at the big, long term picture. As in decades & decades & decades down the road. Why would China do something as seemingly simple as buying all AMC movie theaters as an example? And multiple that approach all through out America's economy & social structure & they are so far ahead of the game it's no contest. As Kevin Costner put it on a Yellowstone show, in speaking to someone trying to undermine he & his family: "you think you are winning when you don't even know the rules".

Yeah, it’s called the Graveyard of Empires for a reason. It’s been the first major sign for multiple empires eventual fall. Once goat frickers are able to overcome your world class army, that’s a sign that things are about to get pretty fricked. The good news is China is running the place now, so they’re probably next, but another 20-40 years down the line. I’m very familiar with the history of Afghanistan.

do you have any idea how dependent on China we are for... everything? Not that we couldn't do it all domestically, but... ti would take a decade to rebuild manufacturing here. It would everything expensive as hell.

Militarily, we could probably defeat them. But economically... nope. Adn you can't fight a war if you can't economically sustain it. And we cannot. We already have WW2 level deficits--without the war.

Well we got our asses handed to us by a peasant Chinese army in Korea and have failed over and over since the end of world war 2 against cave dwelling sheep frickers. I suppose I don’t trust the us military regardless of how many trillions we spend.
