They are doing this so that they can get a picture of him to use in campaign ads to turn off voters who have no idea about the context. Show him in handcuffs, or in a police car, or in the police station, or a mug shot, or whatever actually happens to use out of context or to just put in the TV screen to paint him as a crook. It’s always about optics.

Trump needs to do his classic thumbs up photo if they make him do a mugshot

this just proves that Trump is worse than Hitler himself.

They can say , as hitler was arrested and jailed for a failed coup of the government, trump is arrested as well.

Well if you appreciate a fair and just criminal justice system, you should care that they are weaponizing it for political gain and to take an opponent off the board

Trump isn’t being taken off the board

He’s solidifying his primary base with this.

They're pursuing felony charges. The statute of limitations has expired to bring misdemeanor charges. There's a pathway to upgrade the same charges to a felony and they're still barely in the prosecutorial window for it

You ALWAYS put a happy face on your mugshot. I cannot stress this enough, folks. Definitely don’t wanna look like you just got busted hard doing whatever it is they’re accusing you of. Great example of very solid and smart mugshot here:

Simply put, you don’t want it to look exactly like what it exactly is. Because it’s there forever once done.

But how is it that you’re “sure”? I’m just curious is all. I don’t know what it is you think you know about me, but none of it’s true, other than the part where I’m a badass shot caller who did some serious time in Pelican Bay and Chino.

You have no idea the impact those sound bites and articles with him in cuffs will have. The Dems are betting they work on enough people. That's the game, dummy. The only sure thing is the JFK treatment. Everything else is just dropping as many lines in the water as possible and hoping one catches the big one.

There are already people saying let's just move on to Desantis for no other reason than Trump is too hot. So it absolutely works.

This board seems fine with breaking the law. As long as it's Trump doing it

. Nothing about this will significantly affect him negatively.

You don't seem to get it. It's not about how this effects Trump. It is how this effects our justice system, our political system, and our belief in either going forward. It's about setting the precedent of using the justice system to go after political opposition or to put it bluntly, election interference. If you set the precedent of a voter potentially being treated differently by the justice system based on who they vote for then you are defacto using the state to push voters to vote in a particular direction. The issue isn't that this is being done to Trump. The issue is that this is being done period.

Yeah if it comes to pass here, which granted nothing has happened yet, but if it does in this immensely high profile situation, involving a former POTUS and current POTUS candidate, why would a single one among us ever again have the slightest bit of faith in the entire system’s legitimacy? As in permanently, forever on. That’s a pretty bad thought.

It’s the bullshite unequal treatment. They’ve been relentless on Trump while the Biden’s, Obama’s, Clinton’s and Pelosi’s are given free passes and worshipped By the media. Lady justice took that blindfold off and is using it to hang one side.

Yeah please don’t say anything like that, RD. There’s not too many worse things to say, particularly at the present time.
