This inflation number is inexcusable and was totally avoidable.

Prices will never come back down. Anybody who thinks otherwise is delusional. Interest rates may come down some, but overall get used to the high prices.

In a general sense you're right, however there are some consumer items that could drop in price just like eggs dropped from over $4/doz back to under $2/doz. If beef ranchers increased their herds and processing plants had increased competition for processing beef, beef prices could drop by 20-30%.
But overall you're correct, the +35% cumulative inflation that occurred during the Covid-19 Hysteria Psyop is very sticky and here to stay.
