I max every single tax advantaged retirement vehicle available to me and have been since January of 2004. Its why I will be retiring much earlier than my peers. Get out of here with this bullshite. Trump has been a god damned disaster for the vast majority of working Americans. Trump's Price Hike specifically.

He should. Indexed for current inflation restaurants are still up 1.3%. That’s growth above and beyond the inflation rate. Beefense is a moron.

I don't think anyone that is MAGA is saying inflation isn't real.

The notion that the economy is in the dumps is pure bullshite.

If you want the economy to tank, go ahead and give the Dems control again.

Their hate for one man is driving them crazy.

I still haven't figured out what absolute moron would completely disregard Iran telling us out of their own mouths that they were close to weapons grade uranium.

I can't imagine that level of stupidity.

Many on here think it should have been ignored.

You've done this by re-electing Trump. He's done everything he warned us another Biden or Kamala administration would do. This Trump term is exactly what he told us another Biden Administration would be.

This is going to be the talking point by this administration when the economy inevitably tanks

You just make up random numbers you think sound good for Trump and post them as fact and think people won't take two seconds to see what the real numbers are then when confronted you just call them a 'panican cuck trans homosexual soy Kamala voter' and then scurry off to the next thread to spread your bullshite.

it’s not 2008, but it’s definitely not 2016/17 either. We are not in a good place economically

The market isn't just numbers. There is psychology involved. People keep holding out for things to improve, and the service industries in the middle of these transactions keep selling things improving. Once the confidence starts to crack, that doubt can snowball pretty quickly.

People have been holding out, maxing out credit cards, and hoping that things change. The scales are already tipping in places like TX and Florida, especially with RE.

How much do you get paid to defend Trump in here all day? Youve posted like 20+ times in this thread.
No one cares about what you have
to say, we care about the economy being terrible.

$24,500 a year. Thats better than most. You don’t have any non-qualified funds? The $24k in your checking is all? The numbers are the numbers. If you aren’t enjoying your financial position that is on you.

There has been so much BS going on in energy markets. I know a decent portion of this board thinks Iran will settle down and everything quickly goes back to normal. I'm not sure that is the case. The Houthis going nuts is just adding to this. Paper markets don't look bad, but you have all of this other stuff like reserves drawdowns, diesel export restrictions, fertilizer supply/price issues, and crazy crack spreads that signal something is amiss. To quote a comment I just saw on another board:
quote:

It seems to me that the US administration is (and has been) terrified by the approaching petroleum supply cliff and is pulling out all the the stops to postpone it, at least until after the November mid-term elections. Lifting export sanctions placed upon Russian diesel looks like a Hail-Mary effort to curb the rise in diesel price, even though it is not likely to make much difference at best (and I love that Russia appears to be slow-walking the diesel exports!).

Anyone with open eyes could see that the world economy is heading toward an oil supply cliff on account of the US-Israel war on Iran. The only factor that could offset the supply drop is a corresponding demand drop that would lead to a world-wide economic depression on the scale of the one that began in 1929. The only unknown has been the exact date of the crash.
