Neither were the bases of 4chan and a constantly censored Reddit sub. They spread it to the masses on other platforms.

It would be fun to try, if we could find someone with the appropriate credentials and experience beyond “really good at shitposting”.

ALL of this. Jindal got ahead of his skis and threw us aside for his national branding and Presidential run. Before that he was doing good things as Governor. I think (hope?) he has been humbled, and if so he would be a good Senator.

Agree and most important than all, he is a conservative and believes in the principles. That is really the only true qualification for a legislator.

Actually no he does not for a Senator. He was a good governor up until the point he wanted to be President. He just made the mistake of putting that above his responsibility. He may have learned a lesson.

Jindal should flat out own this and repent of it. Make it highly public and sincere, and that would go a long way as a plus. Glen Beck was virulently anti-Trump but realized his mistake and got on board. Jindal is smart, Conservative and could do the same.

Garret Graves or Bobby Jindal are part of the revolving door of opportunistic, lifetime politicians that shouldn't be considered.

To win a statewide election, you have to have the backing of roughly one congressional district minimum to have a chance at a runoff in a jungle primary. Party primaries really changes this, so it could open the door to more…fringe candidates making waves. Party primaries are all about enthusiasm, so a smaller but rabid following could make all the difference.

Historically, senators have been congressmen, former governors, prominent state senators, public service commissioners, statewide officials (Commissioner of Ag, Commissioner of Insurance, Sec of State, Lt Gov, etc), or a mayor of one of the three largest municipalities (Shreveport, Baton Rouge, New Orleans).

That’s not that big a pool to pick from to find someone with the necessary charisma and good enough policy aims.

This.

2nd term JBE was much worse than 1st term JBE. People better fricking remember how he behaved in that 2nd term. Mask and shot mandates, and vetoing bills to keep boys out of girls sports.

John Fleming

JBE has zero shot. LA will not send a democrat to DC to oppose Trump. Graves is a RINO, Jindal is done.

That is going to hurt JBE. He will have to run straight up against the R Primary winner.

Why wouldn't he do this, effectively, with the jungle primary?

It doesn’t hurt JBE at all. If anything, it gives a better chance of a less electable candidate opposing him.

Yup

This has always been the roadblock to getting a strong conservative Senator in La.

What about John Schroder? Didn’t he take Kennedys spot before? Has some name recognition since he just ran for Governor.

He was never beating Landry, but I think he could take down Cassidy easily.
