Who was the last member of the opposing Party that you respected?

I always liked Joe Lieberman. I didn't agree with him , but I trusted that he was honest and wanted the best for the country.

It's a shame that only us old guys can remember a time when there were adults on both sides of the aisle.

I respected Kip Holden and even voted for him for Lt Gov over Nuss. I didn’t agree with his politics but he wasn’t a pandering race baiter and I felt he truly loved BR. I voted for him over Nuss because Lt Gov is a largely a ceremonial role with a focus on tourism and he would have done a better job imho.
