Sure, one reason. Do you believe the only sign of someone suspicious is an exposed weapon?
What else does putting security at a church entrance protect against?

Who here concealed carries in church?
No one will know if I am, and that's the point.

Isn't the obvious reply to your question "a suspicious person who doesn't have a gun pulled?"

If you’re in Louisiana you need permission from the church leadership to carry.
I have to wonder where you got this idea from?

I’m an usher and all of the ushers, including me, carry at Church

I do. I am on my church's concealed carry team.

Garden variety mentally unwell people.
People who have made threats against the church.
Estranged spouses/significant others with an axe to grind of attending parishioners.
Thieves who target places like churches where there are large amounts of cash and people with lower propensity to watch their belongings mistakenly thinking they’re in a safe place.

Guilty
If you ever had to use it to save the innocent lives of your family and friends, you would be arrested and charged. Better than losing innocent people.
The main risk I see is hiding it well enough to not be seen. If someone sees your piece, you could be arrested and that could jeopardize your career, your existing firearms collection, and your freedom.
So you then have to balance the risk of getting caught with the risk of not having it if you needed it to protect your family.

Heaven help the children you taught, because you are quite stupid.

I probably would if I hadn’t lost all my firearms in a boating accident.

The main risk I see is hiding it well enough to not be seen.
