They should cancel my shite out of principal. I did the math on mine the other day.

I took out 25k in loans. I have paid back 36k in the 17 years I have been paying. So, after them getting their initial money back and getting 11k in profit, I somehow still owe roughly 12k or half of my original debt.

That's some fricked up shite. And my loans wont be cancelled anyways. Mine are evidently held by private companies.

You don't understand how interest accrues and you think yours should be cancelled on "principle?"

What about SBA loans. They should get forgiven also.

This may backfire. 10k will ultimately not be enough for these leeches.

Thats the easy argument against any kind of forgiveness. Why 10k? Why not 100k? Why not all debt for everybody?

Probably because you are just paying the minimum payment. This is math dude. You should have known this.

Why he wouldn't refinance those, I have no idea. I'm guessing his interest rate is like 8%. If he has decent credit, he could have refinanced to less than half that

They are not cancelling debt. They are redistributing debt to the American taxpayers.

This is more "helicopter money" that will add to inflation. Inflation, in which, the Biden administration is saying they are trying to fight. Idiots.

I guess I should have had my kids take student loans. 2 of the three have already graduated on the mom and dad plan. 1 is a senior.

Frick this!

And nobody that receives this benefit will have any idea how it further cripples our economy.

Lovely.

Sucks for those responsible to pay back already. Sucks for those who got a degree and good paying job.

I graduated recently and haven't had time to make enough to pay off $30k in student loans. I don't think that makes me irresponsible. I graduated in 4 year and have my degree with a good job. Not making $125k yet though.

Not saying whether this is wrong or right, but not every person benefitting would be an irresponsible bum.

Oh thank God! Any sorrow and sympathy I had for the school shooting has been dissuaded by this announcement.

What a fricking retard.
