Whistle blower Josh Snider... MBMC Hospital admin lied to the public. Who else has lied?

Short story, then the link.
MBMC told the media their intensive care units were overflowing with COVID patients, at 98% capacity. It was a lie.
They had closed 3/4ths of the ICU floors to get close to that number.
My question is how many other hospitals are doing this?
Closed... nobody there
Snider provided documentary proof of the COVID case load of the MBMC system, whose COVID patients do not track national trends, and where the number of COVID patients in ICU were, at many points, a single, solitary person.
Internal charts and the charts given to the media are 2 different stories:
But this is what they put out in public

Snider relates that the MBMC hospital, part of a larger $5.5 billion annual network within the Barnes Jewish hospital system in St. Louis, Missouri, actually shut down three out of four floors of intensive care during COVID because they were UNUSED.
“And even after shutting down three-fourths of our ICU capacity, they were still never more than 50% full with that drastically reduced overall capacity. These medical systems that are saying they are overrun with COVID patients are likely LYING TO THE PUBLIC,” Snider said.

“I would have to adjust the airflow in some of the rooms of people in the ICU with COVID, they were fine. I believe in COVID, I know it’s serious, but I also personally saw people who were fine, they had a terminal case of boredom. I spoke with these people and they weren’t sick at all, they felt fine but were told they had to stay there. Many brought their PlayStations with them to waste away the days with video games instead.”

Everyone is lying at the behest of fricking politicians.

Hospitals stay full ALL the time. The close down units constantly to save money at low census times. My business is creating easy access and room for new patients with existing beds. If there wasn't a constant census issue, with or without Covid, I would be out of a job. The whole overflowing hospital thing is a creation for fear. Not saying that there aren't horrible days, or weeks, but flu season does that too.

Story could be true, but that picture doesn't look like an ICU floor.

You can’t tell shite from that picture.
In fact, it looks similar to the ICU entry at the largest hospital here.

Then tell us why. Your weak statements that cannot be substantiated are made weaker.

There are numerous, barely reported, stories that go against the perpetual fear narratives the media sells.
Case in point, with the recent "Delta surge" in Louisiana we heard story after story that hospitals were reaching full capacity. If that were the case, then certainly it would be nice to have some overflow centers to limit the stress on the hospitals, right? Didn't we at one point have hundreds of medical tents available at the NOLA convention center for just that? Oh wait, the LAGOV quietly sold of those tents.

Hospitals do stay full but COVID is clearly pushing capacities to the limits.
My parents work in a local hospital and unless they're lying, they've definitely been much more full compared with previous years due to the pandemic. Hospitals are designed to operate near full but if capacity is exceeded, units can't be produced that quickly. My parents would contradict this guy (and they don't have to lie) so I'm not sure this guy is that believable by extrapolating his hospital to other hospitals around the country. This is a crisis around the world - is he seriously suggesting that hospitals around the world are all lying? Even in those countries where there is no profit motive in medicine? It's laughable.
And because hospitals are designed to stay near full, it means that capacity can't be scaled up very quickly. You've just demonstrated the problem and the exact reason there's a crisis in your comment.
And the issue isn't just capacity. It's staffing capacity. ICU units are very staff intensive - you can't just train someone overnight. It takes a long time to train people. If hospitals are designed to be near full, there wouldn't be enough staff when there are surges which is exactly the problem.

"Capacity limit" these days tends to mean "We don't have enough nurses", not "we don't have enough rooms."
And a lot of the lack of nurses comes down to poor business practices that run nurses into the ground then replace them with new applicants.

There's also a shortage of ICU doctors. It's not like you can magic up doctors over night - it takes years to train them.
Staffing doesn't just mean nursing - it also means doctors as well. And that's exactly the problem - hospitals haven't got as many ICU nurses as they need right now because they've never needed that many nurses before. This is due to the pandemic.
And if nurses are off sick due to the pandemic or isolating, that just makes the problem even worse.

I just see a central desk with two hallways of rooms. The ICU floors I have seen have a central desk surrounded by ICU rooms. This looks like a standard floor... nothing indicates it is a dedicated ICU floor.

They're not only lying, but intentionally letting people die

It doesn't?. It's the picture of the desk/nurses station.
My wife worked ICU for over forty years. If there were patients, there would be folks at the nurses station.

It was never about the public health. It was always about control.
