I think it has worked out just fine. Headlines on media outlets is that the Dems have shutdown the gov to protect their base - apparently their base is illegal aliens.
Also, gov agencies have reserves that will allow them to operate BAU during the shutdown. Craps all over Obama’s deliberate shutdown of parks to make “regular Americans feel the pain of the shutdown”.

Well to be fair, that’s the way the republicans have historically done things. The Dems are used to kicking their feet and screaming at the sky, which the Republicans would immediately cave to. The Rs are as much to blame for this shite as the Ds.

DACA, the thing that has been stated that dems want more than anything, does not officially end for another month or two. Why is this a deal breaker now? Is it because Trump wants the wall in exchange for DACD acceptance? Well, there is your proof of “who is to blame” here.

As there was nothing objectionable in the deal, Dems chose to toss in DACA . . . even though they have no DACA proposal themselves.
So the Dems have dug themselves a hole in which they are placing concerns of illegals ahead of taxpayers. You cannot "deal" if one side is that stupid or set on conflict.
