If Trump gets someone seated to replace Ginsburg prior to the election and in a lame duck session, what do you see the response from Democrats being if Biden wins and they win the Senate. It’s reasonable to assume they kill the filibuster for everything and expand the court. What happens after that though? What happens when Republicans control both houses and the Presidency? Is it always destined that SCOTUS continually expands?

Please note, this is not a question if Trump should or should not appoint her. This is just trying to game out where things go from there.

why would it be reasonable to assume they expand the court? That is a radical move that at least a handful of dem senators would not go along with

I still think there are tons of lifelong dems that do not recognize what they're voting for. I know of several who think the dems rhetoric is all talk.

There’s a lot of talk of that on the lib forums. Like ALL they discuss. I agree it’s a never ending expansion battle. I also think it’s desperate fan fiction at this stage

A never-ending expansion spiral would make the court system ignored because of illegitimacy.

Forget Biden...he'll be unpresentable to the Public in less than a year. Poor guy; he's done.

Both sides believe and are poised to NULLIFY the election of the Opposition Candidate. Mail in ballots have assured the trashing of the election. The Dems are lawyered up to wreak havoc in the Courts...and the Right is enraged and gunned up to wreak havoc on the Marxist Insurrectionists and their 'Handlers'.

You should have watched the John Mark Speaks Video "Why the Right will win the coming Civil War"...before he took it off YouTube. He nailed it. It's just a matter of how much blood is shed, to (re)establish Rule of Law...or at least...civil peace and security to a degree where the economy can function to serve delivery of basic goods and services.

The next POTUS will be decided by the Court. And Nullified by the loser. God help us from there.

A bloodletting. It's becoming the only answer. They won't ever stop until they have us in reeducation camps. We are becoming a Weimar Republic. We all know how that ended.

It is radical but I think you’ll see a major push for it in this case. The passion for this seat with her will be white hot. The left is still pissed about Garland. This isn’t rubbing salt in the wound. This is cutting of the limb that has the wound and burning it as incense while screwing their dog on the grave of their grandmother. For Democrats, I think they will view this as crossing the Rubicon.

I know a lot will disagree and say they would do all of this anyway but expanding the court was a fringe idea. I fully expect it will crystallize it as mainstream. If that happens, what do you have? Universal Healthcare? Green New Deal? Required Universal Mail In Voting? The point is I think Dems will see this as their permission to get everything they want. It will be overreaching sure and they’ll pay a price politically, but there will be long lasting structural changes they bring about. Democrats rue the day Harry Reid changes the filibuster for judges because of the downstream effects. Will Republicans feel the same about rushing a replacement through?

If Joe Biden wins the presidency America as we know it ceases to exist. Or already had and this just confirms it.

Not so much because of what Joe will do but because of the astounding amount of blind stupidity it takes to vote for Joe Biden. If a majority of this country votes for that man it’s over. Or it’s war. And we deserve everything that entails.

I hope you are not right but fear you are. I’ve said before I don’t support Trump. With that being said, I’d rather a clear Trump victory than a controversially close Biden win. Of course, I’d rather a Biden clear win over both of those. The point is I most want a clear indisputable victor that no one can nullify.

Thus ends when the Dem party finally splits.

That will happen after the election when Trump wins.

The buttfrickery of your premise suggest Trump is in a lame duck session. You are fricking delusional if you think President Trump is going to lose this election.
