I love the idiots that believe the lies from politicians like Pelosi that say they’ll just dig under them, climb them, or go around them so therefore it’s a huge waste of money.
Well no fricking shite silly putty face, some will find ways to get through. Nothing will ever be 100% foolproof.
Has there ever been anything that made it past TSA that would be considered banned or prohibited by law or whatever you wanna call it that made it onto a commercial flight in the United States? Yes, it’s happened countless times.
Guess it’s time to do away with any type of security measures before people board airplanes, the shite doesn’t work.
^^^ This
Libs delude themselves by thinking a wall has to be either 0% or 100% effective.
People need to open their mind past political bias

Someone actually scaled such a wall in Calexico, fell down on the American side, and suffered a terrible pain.
If you're willing to suffer compound fractures of both tibias and fibulas, a fractured pelvis, and broken back, then why not go for it?

You think that if all the guards disappeared for a few hours

When all the prisoners break out.

At what point when we see illegals dragging drugs and guns across can we say screw it and shoot on sight? They don’t even deserve due process. You think the Mexican or Russian authorities would be so fair with Americans trying to do the same?

Prisoners don't have access to supplies/equipment/etc.
Please don't tell me you'd claim physical barriers won't influence illegal ground migration and trafficking. Come on Kork. You are better than that.

I get the feeling, though, that most of the pro-wall crowd think of immigrants like cattle that you can simply guide to where you want them to go. They are human beings, not dumb cows. So you drop $5billion on a section of wall and change migration patterns. Now what? Do we think they will all just walk right into a heavily guarded area and get captured? No. So we will have to keep plugging leaks. How much money will be spent before we see a drop in illegal immigration? My guess is at least 10X more before any appreciable reduction, and closer to 100X more before land crossings are significantly reduced. Then we will have to start focusing on the coasts.
I just think that treating it like a war is the wrong approach, and money would be better spent fixing the actual issues that make illegal immigration so attractive.

So we're going to spend billions (if not trillions with maintenance over time) to keep out a few numbnuts?
Yeah, that sounds like something the government would do.

quote:As drops in illegal migration correspond with decreased social services demands, there is a direct payoff though. So some proportion of cost is offset. That said, the mere existence of a daunting physical barrier would go a long way to dissuading caravans of CentralAmericans to make the trek.

Yes but the next Dim that is president will not be able to just tell the wall to stand down like Obama did with the border patrol.

You're not fooling anybody. You want the wall for one reason, and one reason only. This isn't about immigration. This isn't about making American great again.
It's about "my team" beating "your team" plain and simple.

Build the wall, put our border guards inside Mexico, and tell them to keep people in.

Agents patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border near the Imperial Sand Dunes in California's southeast corner spotted the Jeep Cherokee teetering atop the fence early Tuesday, Border Patrol spokesman Spencer Tippets said. The vehicle was perched about five miles west of the Colorado River and the Arizona state line.
So it was stopped.
Because of the wall.
