They’re mostly elderly.

Has a “healthy” person died? Or is it’s the same group that is susceptible to all kinds of viruses?

I haven’t seen one listed. But by the time most people hit 70, they usually have underlying health issues.

Saw that one of the NY deaths was an 82 yo woman with emphysema. Is it really accurate to attribute such a death to the Wuhan flu? I would wager that the majority of deaths we have seen so far fall into this category.

In Louisiana, the first death was a 58 year old person in the Touro Infirmary that was reported to have underlying conditions, the second death in Louisiana is reported to be a 53 year old person. The article gives no further details nor has Governor John Bel Edwards said whether or not there were underlying conditions. Certainly, that is information that I would like to know because if this second death in Louisiana is a healthy 53 year old, I would have to admit that would be a little scary.

Last number I saw said average age of death in China was 81. Not sure here..but the 57year old from NOLA was said to me suffering from multiple health issues...so flu would have been bad for her as well.

wow, didn't realize half are from one building

that's freaking nuts...

No Masters in Georgia because Washington State has a lost 27 people in a nursing home?

Makes perfect sense to me....

wake me up when the Corona has taken out as many as the flu in the USA...20k to go to catch up....

once we get 20k, then we can close up things...

this seems completely ridiculous...

If she had bilateral pneumonia with scans looking like other Wuhan flu patients and test positive for Covid 19 and died from respiratory distress, then yes. It’s absolutely appropriate to attribute it to Covid 19. Just like you’d attribute a pneumonia death to an HIV patient to HIV (usually).

so 50+ people dying at 81 instead of 82 or 83 is going to cost us an ungodly amount of money

(and I know it will end up being more but it won't justify all this bullshite)

True but show more sympathy for the elderly.

And over half of those deaths were people so far past self care, that they were already in nursing facilities.
