Except for the hundreds of thousands of foreign birth tourism babies that are born here ever year now, and then they're taken back to China and other countries... but get to enjoy perks of American "citizenship" when it benefits them... or their true country's political agenda.
Other than that... Sure.

I think since there are millions and millions of these birth citizens, the USSC decided the risk to society (violence) was too great to have them subject to being kicked out of the country.
Now it’s time for Congress to do it’s job.
LOL Yeah right

Let’s do away with duel citizenship at least!

Good description of what the policy argument is. I think that on balance, it’s not a great policy bc of perverse incentives but there are some benefits. In any case, this was about law, not policy.

Cite to 1 example in the last 160 years where a person who is a only a citizen because of birthright citizenship has risen to power in the US.
Irrelevant.
It is the future that concerns me.

Low-t is a true believer.
I feel quite confident that he would press the button to deliver the gas if a “non-believer “ were in the chamber.
So is/would the totally "true conservative," TDSFPLC

Today's ruling didn't change anything that has been happening for 160 years though. Again, Congress can, and should, restrict dual nationals from holding elected office. Pretty sure one of the reps from Ohio already proposed a bill for it.
You think even one Democrat will vote for it?

We need to amend the 14th to exclude birthright citizenship for the children of illegal aliens, temporary residents, enemies of America and undesirable, unproductive or incompatible immigrant groups.

If we have the votes to amend with that language, by all means. I don't think we do though.

No. No it hasn't. Immigration from Europe led to that and we had quotas and some were just not allowed. Unfettered immigration is called mass migration. You may want to check historical records. It has happened thousands of times in history. Never did the host nation ever survive.
So, GTFOH with your simpleton BS.

There are approximately 3.6 million babies born in America every year. Every one of them is a citizen of the United States by birth.
Based upon the best estimates I have seen, birth tourism accounts for as many as 20,000 of those babies, which is much more than I expected. But you are still inflating the birth tourism by multiples of 20 or 30.
I know that right wingers can't function except on daily outrage and emotion, but this thread is surprising in the unrestrained level of emotional craziness.
And I would bet that everyone posting in this thread, if they are a US citizen, is a citizen by birth.
