You mean, like the FBI, DOJ, the IRS, etc?

Tell you what, when you start caring about how Obama used these departments, I’ll start caring about USPS.

Trump's comments follow repeated unfounded claims that mail-in ballots will lead to widespread voter fraud. Because of this, critics have looked at the changes within the agency with some alarm.

quote:

In Nevada, the Republican National Committee filed a lawsuit against a law the state legislature passed last week changing certain provisions to make it easier to vote by mail in the November election. One of the provisions is that if an absentee ballot is received by 5 p.m. three days after Election Day but is not postmarked, it will be counted. The lawsuit claims this provision, along with others in the new legislation, is unconstitutional.

Just stacks of mail in ballots at random locations and stacks randomly mailed to the wrong address.

Just more unfounded conspiracy theories that 100% mail in voting is vulnerable for election manipulation.

Dems knew the changes being made were coming for years. They just using it to make hype. None of it is connected. USPS is beyond bankrupt. They are attempting to consolidate and streamline to save it.

us Postal Service, what we know so far

Let me say this, I'm not necessarily interested in the politics.

My issue is that this has severely harmed the mail orders I get from merchants. I understand that Trump has doubts about the Post Office, but these decisions have long term consequences that go beyond the election.

Hampering the post office hurts some Businesses as it's the cheapest option they have to deliver mail. It also serves as a major inconvenience to their customers.

The post office isn't supposed to be the political arm of anyone. It's simply supposed to deliver mail. Everyone is going to have a political opinion, but that doesn't imply that any one department should have more influence than another.

#1 frick you for not being smart enough to realize that Trump isn’t manipulating the post office.

#2 even an idiot who has swallowed that narrative whole should be able to recognize the inherent problems with having a federal agency that can be manipulated by a candidate in the election.

I think there's some bullshite going on, some sabotage shite. This week my wife gets a Kohl's order meant for some lady 2 hours away with the same maiden name that my wife hasn't used in 9 years. The kohls label clearly had the persons name and address on the box, but the usps sticker next to it was my wife's name and our address, not similar at all and not geographically close at all. How is that even possible?

Eta- the box was also beaten to absolute shite with the contents spilling out of it. More than just falling around in the back of a truck.

Post Office needs to shut down. They last made a profit in 2006. Who knows how long before that. They are a money pit.

Hampering the post office
Link?

trump hasn't done anything to "hamper" the post office.

This is fricking insane that you guys are taking taylor swift's word on this.

The post office was funded as usual through 2021. The changes to the sorting machines were part of a plan that was devised more than 1 year ago.

Can you please link me some news about trump "hampering" the post office. thank you in advance.

Riddle me this Batman, why is every other delivery option making bank and hiring right now but USPS is a victim of Covid-19.

Hard to take anything else they offer in that link seriously once you get to that nonsense.

Exactly, it should be run like a business and not a Government siphon.

Nobody is hampering the Post Office.

Geez, this kind of shite is why people fall for urban legends.

Lol pretty easy to tell what sources the various peoples of our great land are getting their background info from on this amirite?

MSM = Trump's hampered the entire organization

Common sense truth = covid-19 has and will continue to affect the delivery times of parcels and packages due to limited transportation. I got that from a USPS website release, and I'll be darned if the date wasn't April 17, 2020, two months prior to "Trump's political donor" taking over the postmaster general spot.

So you get orders from merchants in envelopes? Is this the merchants sending you items or literal filling out forms and mailing them to you. If forms, you need a website.

The envelope sorters are what everyone is all the sudden worked up about. They are moving them because more and more volume coming through is packages.

Burn the post office down for all I care... can’t think of a single instance where I can say “wow, that was amazing service” but can easily think of dozens of horrible experiences, especially with the shitty attitudes of their employees.

The Dems and MSM making this big to-do over sorters. I'm of the mind that it's less that they're trying to politically sabotage Trump's campaign, and more that they're (all of MSM and all Dems) just aren't smart enough to contemplate these things. Let's face it, one man, Donald Trump, has been able to swat down the best efforts of a team against him consisting of every Democratic member of Congress, every employee of CNN, MSNBC, etc etc etc, saboteurs within his own government, his own pandemic task force, some Republicans.....and that team of hundreds of people all putting their heads together cannot even really get one good solid shot in against the one man team Donald Trump.

They are simply extremely low intelligence.

And the Post Office would do very, very much better if privatized.

It's time to actually be conservative and shrink the fricking government. They have too much reach into too many things.

Surely it's just a coincidence that when Republicans oppose the extra $3.5 billion for universal mail-in voting that all of a sudden the USPS desperately needs funding.
