That's what my gut tells me is going to happen.

But, it may just be gas. I ate at Casa Maria for lunch...

There’s no plausible reason any world leader would publicly or privately disrespect Trump in that manner. It would serve no purpose.

That’s what you hope happens. If Trump brokers a peace deal that involves Ukraine giving up any land you’ll cry your little heart out.

What do I care if Putin doesn't show???
Nothing changes the fact that Zylinski is a fricktard and the longer he engages in this war, the more Ukraine loses.

My reaction?

I don’t understand the question… you mean what are my expectations? That Russia and Iran will continue to try and incite a conflict because its what China needs. China can’t afford either of them to suddenly embrace peace.

Whether he shows up or not, I expect little. My best case scenario is that some sort of ceasation is achieved, but with both sides understanding that its basically just to allow the military build ups. Even if oeace happens tomorrow, neither europe or russia can afford either afford to slow down the military production and rearmament… The US needs about 3-4 years to integrate our own REE supply to approach wartime production levels.

Waste of time. Z doesn't want peace. Z is happy with people dying every day so he can remain in power.

I'm always amazed at how many warmongers are gung-ho for war as long as they're not geared up and leading the charge.

Putin has already done it once.

He called for a peace conference of various heads of state to be held in Istanbul in which the heads of state of the U.S., Turkey, Iran and Ukraine agreed to.

Literally the day before the peace conference was scheduled to begin, Russia sent notice that Putin was not going to attend.

If you are a Ukrainian inhabitant, what would you have Zelensky do?

That’s a little disingenuous of you. Putin declined to attend the Turkey meeting insomuch as he declined to meet with Zelensky face to face. That wasn’t exactly a one on one meeting between Trump and Putin, much unlike this one is. This is a strange situation in which to attempt to play that game. It’s rather easily identified.

I'd be stunned on a number of levels.

Given Zelinskyy's no-show declaration, it would be an incredibly un-Putin-like, unsavvy political move.

So far.

Z announced he wasn't going to attend the Istanbul peace negotiation meeting until Daddy Trump told him to be there.

So Zelensky said he'd be there and then Putin bailed.
