"What was your woke breaking point?" is the question from this woman, who, by the way, defines herself as a liberal in her Twitter bio

My answer would fall along the lines of this guy here. I'd say 2013 is probably even accurate for me, too.
I fear the madness is not going to end until the Woke crowd begins their own version of the Reign of Terror.

I guess I stopped tolerating them with the Mizzou fiasco.

I saw the origins of the insanity on Tumblr circa 2012. The pronoun nonsense was a nonstarter for me

I wasn't the biggest fan of the police, but when the Dallas and Baton Rouge incidents happened, I became a back the blue type. You want to talk about rhetoric getting people killed, that was it.

quote:Eh. It was only a lunatic fringe that actually "supported" such killings. If they happened now, I imagine that lunatic fringe would be much larger, though.

In 2012 when the media painted Mitt Romney as a racist, with extreme right wing views.
I then realized the media would paint every person who was not far left as a racist.
That was when the term racist lost its punch for me.

“Political Correctness”. I’ve always seen that as dangerous to speech and liberty. I would never ever tell even our most liberal posters that they cannot express their viewpoints just because I disagree with them. But that is exactly what PC culture did in its early years. Now it’s morphed into something far more dangerous, yet predictable.

For me, it was when they stopped showing Speedy Gonzales on Looney Tunes. That was a really long time ago. I knew PC culture was bad and wrong from the moment I first became aware of it as a teen during the 2000’s.

I started a thread about this, but thought this was a new achievement in woke self-hate:
