Those are acting American representatives being told to remove their lapel pins so they can lower their chances of being lynched by a mob trying to force its way into the House Gallery.
Trump attempted an insurrection that fortunately only got 4-5 people killed. He put our elected officials in danger of being murdered on Capitol Hill.
His repeated and baseless lies, combined with his call to march to the Capitol are directly what caused this.
That is incredibly fricking serious and there needs to be consequences. That's what all this is about.

I don’t think there is. At all. I fully believe my children will either fight an authoritarian government or he slave to one. It’s sad. And it hurts knowing my son will fight that battle. I didn’t know what pain was until that realization came to me. We failed the next generation. Let’s hope those of us who still value the constitution and the principles in the Declaration of Independence can successfully raise a generation of fighters.
