This mob put every member of Congress in peril. Every single one. You just don't piss off that many people without consequence. I think it is that simple.

The question now is whether Trump's loyal followers are more powerful than they are. The answer right now seems to be a resounding "no and it ain't close."

This is the problem with your line of thinking. It’s not just Trump supporters. It’s millions of angry citizens who believe in freedom over oppression and the government slamming its iron fist down on “trump supporters” will have only 2 outcomes: they violently crush the spirit of the country into communism and slavery or the people rise up and revolt.
