Any theories on why in state talent has dropped so significantly?

Central Ark was the main source for D1 level football recruits.

Little Rock for whatever reason is a basketball city over the last 20+ years. Most of the best athletes in the city and surrounding area, end up focusing on basketball.

You could speculate as to why... hogs playing fewer and fewer relevant games in LR over time. Most of the 90s the hogs were upper tier in basketball, and bottom of the barrel in football. Maybe that had something to do with it.

If you want to say they’ve accomplished more by being the better loser more times than go ahead. But as far as titles go, Alabama baseball kicks Arkansas baseballs fricking arse.

I'm curious who has more since we've been in the same conference
Somebody should do a full case study on the drop off of Arkansas high school football.

JJ Andrew’s is the perfect example

Son of legendary hog football player, multi time nfl pro bowler…

And he’s a 5* basketball player

Arkansas football is cooked.

You been in a coma for the last decade or something?
We're going to have one of the most talented rosters in the country. Cal will pay players, a lot if we need to. He's talking about not wanting kids that only care about the highest bidder.

Not a cost issues, it's a team chemistry and coach-ability concern.
I had such a bad feeling about this game… I’d have much rather played wiscy. So glad we pulled it out
Uh yeah, easy to hate someone who kills our recruiting in Memphis and repeatedly takes top recruits out of our backyard.
It's funny y'all still talk about Cal incessantly after 2 years.

I barely remember Muss exists...

2024 UConn

I know they lost more, but the Uconn team the year before was a little better IMO
You may not like it, but that is what peak male performance looks like

I've got the "FREE HRV" picket signs on standby. Just send the word :usa:
I don't want to see Michigan. Nor Florida again. Keep those teams the frick away from our side of the bracket
Washington was pretty clearly our best back since Collins/Williams. Sucks we only had him a year
Taylen’s acceleration and change of direction was pretty mediocre though. Way more important for a QB

Most things I have seen is Thomas as a early/mid 2nd rd pick. Could chicken man talk him into skipping a 1-2 mil a year rookie contract to boost his stock next year?

He would be an amazing fit with the roster next year. We need a shoota out of the portal if not

An Arkansas win would wrap the SEC regular season up for us I think due to tiebreakers.

Big game for us to try to keep the reg season title in reach.

Also anything higher than a 5 seed is all but gone if we lose. A win would put us in line for a 4 seed, with an outside shot at a 3

Ewin had 3 separate game costing plays in a span of 2 mins in double ot. I mean, gimmies. Layups.

Honestly on that last dunk, if he makes it… I don’t see any way we come out ahead with who we had left to play for another 5 minutes.

We should’ve shot a 3 there because it was our only hope. The shot at the end of OT1 was really our chance
I've moved on. Probably a decent game for us in the metrics, very happy with how the team performed.

Still frick em. Dirty program, dirty coach.
quote:

Both of you guys need to move on. Bama won. It was a good game. The world will (should) continue to spin.

Nah, I have zero respect for a program that goes through what they did to get an ineligible player allowed on the team.

No "good game"

They won. They didn't deserve it. We will go further in the tournament. Skynyrd wasn't even from there.

frick em
Just a reminder that Bama could only beat a team played 2 walk ons by 2 points in double OT at home.

No wonder Oats is desperate enough to openly cheat to try to make his team better.
