You need to read "Dogs and Demons" to rub some of that shine off your perception of the Japanese. While great people, there is a dark underbelly which your gaijin butt probably didn't pay much attention to.

This is slanderous propaganda that the dolphin community is putting out.

"Better toilets".........heated toilet seats are standard in Japan's houses, apartments, etc. Japan's rice grains are significantly smaller, thus the country-wide use of chop sticks vs. forks. Japan , like any country, certainly has its warts. However, those warts are over ridden by its societal culture. As an example, in Japan, when entering a restaurant, everyone removes their shoes & places them on shelves in the lobby. Imagine what would happen to some of these shoes, at times 40-50+, in a restaurant in any large city in America? Bike use in getting around throughout Japan is the norm. Those bikes are simply parked & left unlocked where ever its owner stops. No thefts. In America...........??

You read a book on Japan? Good for you, man.

I’ll have to check that out.

It’s true. There are 53,000 Americans stationed in Japan and none of those soldiers and sailors are black or ‘other minorities’.

You’re now my favorite poster.

There are a couple of numbers that obviously stand out.

One is 13 per hundred in the US.

One is 2 per ten thousand in Japan.
