Yep only solution to not being a victim is having your own gun and knowing how to quick draw.

What are your thoughts and suggestions on ways to reduce the gun violence?

For crimes committed that result in death(s) the perps(s) (should they survive) should be executed if/when found guilty immediately. Like within 5 days max. No spending years on death row as a result of appeal after appeal after appeal. Once convicted your sentence is carried out in days, if not hours.
Some may think its inhumane but remember a life was inhumanely taken during the crime. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
Some may also ask "what about the person being falsely accused?". Well the accusers can be held to the same standards as the person charged/convicted/executed of the crime.

Over time I think we would see a decrease in gun violence and as a result fewer wrongful prosecutions.

When an individual produces a weapon with the intention of committing a crime, or providing false accusations they need to understand the consequences if/when things go sideways.

May not be a perfect solution but it would be effective. Less incarceration and money saved that could be applied elsewhere.

How about we try allowing morality back into ALL of our lives, EVERY DAY via parents, faith, schools, communities, etc.

Seriously, that's it.

The answer to this that you won't hear anyone talk about:

The US doesn't have a "gun problem." The US has a black crime problem. If you break down our country's gun violence stats by race, for the most part, we're on par with most of Western Europe. The black crime stats badly skew our numbers and are more on par with third world countries.

All I know is restricting or taking away guns from law abiding citizen will do nothing except disarm the only segment of the population that does NOT commit crime, so why would they do this?

1. Because that is their goal
2. Because they are to scared to call out the real issue. Family Structure is gone in America.
3. Because Black on Black crime is never discussed.

If they ever start INFORCING the current laws and doing something about the above list, and gun violence is still an issue, I might, just might, look at other options until then: frick OFF with any gun control measures.

It’s simple.. so simple that it shows you democrats are not serious about it.

Harsh and strict punishment for GUN CRIMES. Commit robbery? You get jailed for robbery. Robbery with a gun? Automatic 10 year enhancement. Automatic. No pleas. No parole. No question. Same for kidnapping. Same for aggravated assault. Anything committed with a gun. Automatic enhancement.

But democrats are not serious about “gun safety”. So they will not be on board.

I think a lot of states already have something like this on the books.

32% of Americans say they personally own a firearm according to the 2021 National Firearms Survey. This means that more than 81.4 million Americans own guns. This number only includes adults over 18.

For every one person that does a "mass" shooting, there are about 81,399,999 Americans that do not.

There are already laws on the books making murder illegal. The people that commit mass shootings either end up dead...put on death row...or spend the rest of their life in jail.

A change in American pop culture to one that values the nuclear family and not a reliance on government or media to raise the children.

Fix the mentality of the urban black male and you solve the vast majority of gun violence. Sadly No one want to point a finger at the obvious problem.
