I know for a fact freight movement is way down currently. I’m also pretty sure credit spending is back up to record territory. If I had to guess, this administration will lie their way through the election. We could be in a huge downturn and not know because of how USSR this administration is.

My first guess is the money being spent is money that was already earned and invested over the years. The tally of the money owed on credit cards. The highest ever tells me the credit used is for the ones that had no savings to speak of but also have no other way to survive. Why it hasn’t totally collapsed is because of those factors. When the credit can’t be paid all lose.

What generation? In my adult life I’ve seen 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, a recession, a pandemic, the current situation, etc.

Take it back even further. Cardboard box manufacturing is way down as well. The very things required to ship stuff.

True.

But many of these subsidies are covid related and the programs are ending soon (such as child care free money).

When those programs dry up its either print another few trillion or the masses go bankrupt. Either way democrat socialists win.

The Feds pumped trillions into the economy. There is still a lot of money out there.

I mean over the last two years my wife and I have received over 50% increase in income from raises so....thats been nice. Most people I know who quit their jobs opened their own company or took a pay raise elsewhere they didn't quit working...

It’s all falling apart. Nothing is “holding it together”. It’s in collapse.
