JBE has active responsibilities during a crisis in his state. Kennedy and Cassidy don't.

Allow me to be an unbiased conservative for a moment.
Cruz is a US senator, not governor of Texas. I like Cruz and sure, he's a major political leader and probably shouldn't have ditched the state he represents in the US senate during a time of catastrophe but then again, he can't unilaterally take action on behalf of Texas either. That's the governor's job (to an extent) and more the president's job. The governor and president should work closely together in times like these. Yes, Cruz should be there to assist in any way he can but at the same time, he's not nearly as important and the governor and president are at this time.
If Cruz wants to leave the state on vacation right now, let him. But I understand why it's such a bad look for him.

The governor is a bit different than a senator. A senator doesn’t have any power to do anything in his home state.

Why are we pretending this Cruz thing is an actual issue and not simply something with which to hit him in the head with by the left?
Why is anyone on the right arguing with frick heads like this over what is clearly not an actual issue?
