The crazies being let out of the California loony bin coupled with open boarders will ruin this whole country before it's over with.
States should have the right to force transplants to have their votes counted in the state they left for at least a generation until it can be determined that these people fleeing democrat hell holes are not bringing their retarded political with them.

There's no scenario in which Abbott loses. I don't even like Abbott because he's done nothing the last 12 years as Texas descends into its 3rd world hellhole future. But he doesn't have the enemies Paxton has and is more palatable for the idiotic white suburban idiots. Paxton has major RINO enemies and they'd give the US Senate seat to a Democrat if it meant getting rid of Paxton.
Paxton is at least starting to run better ads and showing what a freak Twinkrico is. His first few ads in the late summer were terrible.

Vitter won a US Senate race 57-38 AFTER his scandal broke. Voters are fine with sending baggage off to Washington. They don't like voting for people like that for Governor.

Perhaps. I don't remember the 57-38 win for Vitter or much about Melancon. Maybe JBE was a better opponent? Or was Melancon just terrible?

For requiring water and energy usage reports prior to approval? For actions that already should have been in place if not for his "business friendly" policies?
He also should have checked Patrick on multiple occasions, but the best he could come up with was not signing the thc bill and delaying Dan for a year. He's come off as pretty cowardly lately. And his West TX voters, that have always been loyal to him, seem pretty pissed off.

It's truly astounding to me that there are really people who don't realize (or as seemingly here, are capable of being convinced otherwise) that a vote for a Senator or Congressman is really nothing more than a vote for a proxy of whatever choice is most ideologically aligned with yourself.
Why anyone would possibly give a shite about anything else - especially once you reach the general election stage, is just patently absurd.

In a primary. The general is a different ballgame.
Primaries can be swung by motivated splinter groups but that doesn't mean much for the general election when you have to get the moderates and independent/swing voters on board.
