Even the average middle-class family would more likely than not experience some form of financial stress if their child had to have a major surgery like Kimmel's kid.
I just had 30k ankle surgery I might end up paying $500-$1000
Not sure this is a factual statement

Yes it does. Part of living life is dealing with tough times.

So?

Do you think Jimmy Kimmel knows if the ACA is affordable or not?
I'm pretty sure he hasn't been on healthcare.gov to enter in his info. lol
However, what's the first A in ACA stand for again? I'm pretty sure Jimmy knows that answer.
Again, we'll just disagree. You can straddle the left side of the fence all day if you want.

And with my plan with those charges, my out of pocket would be about $4,000. All plans are different.

So, a family should not have a child unless they can financially cover even the most catastrophic of medical issues?

$4000 shouldn't bankrupt middle class family
Also is that your only insurance choice?

That's correct. Or have insurance to cover that risk.
Now you are catching on.

Yes- in the words of a warehouse boss being asked for a raised bc employee's gf was pregnant
Did I frick her?

Would you trade Obamacare repealed and tweaked for voter ID cards and tighter immigration laws?
Why can't I have the ACA and universal voter registration without useless ID card requirements?

Sweet, sweet hypocrisy.
I love it.

You are arguing that he didn't mean Obamacare. I suggest that he did. I provided support for that with a quote that mentioned Kimmel's stance that folks should have access to healthcare.
You think it's a stretch to link that statement with the ACA. That's fine.
I know Jimmy's politics. It's more likely than not that he supports the ACA.

This is why you meet resistance. You are like a petulant child who is not happy until you get everything you want.
My bigger point was that Dems don't want any type of compromise on much of anything. That's why we are where we are and why we have Trump. I contend that it's actually your fault.

Well then in the case, probably only like the top 20% in this country should only be having children.

This is how BamaAtl rolls.
I just miss the Second Amendment talks. Nothing like watching her stumble through explaining how vehicle purchasing, operation, and registration works.

before the ACA, insurance companies were dropping anyone that got pregnant or took their kid in for running a temperature.
No, I'd have you believe that insurance companies COULD drop you if they wanted to claim you had a pre-existing condition that you did not disclose. And they did, often.
Post-ACA, they can't. That's the better option.
